The Strokes singer Julian Casablancas has revealed that the band have completed their new album. It's been a long time coming. The Strokes released 'First Impressions Of Earth' back in 2005, setting of around the world on a massive tour. Tiring of the pressures caused by the road, the band decided to take a short break.
Finished on Monday (November 15th) the new material is the band's first in some five years. The band played a series of festival shows this summer, including a climactic slot at Scotland's RockNess. Producer Joe Chiccarelli helmed sessions, having previously worked with U2, Beck and Icelandic singer Bjork.The Strokes are set to release their new album in 2011.
